FIU – Florida International University – Launches VR Storytelling for Social Change

Welcome to FIU Storytelling for Social Change. An immersive experience where you will be transported to an abstract space to listen to Holocaust survivor’s testimonies and connect with their stories. This experience is about using your auditory sense to live in their moment. Users can learn about 8 holocaust survivors and then record a voice message for them.

VR, in this case, is being used in a different way, not focusing on the visual content but on the 3D Spatial audio experience.
This is a great example of how XR technologies are being used for education and social change.
